Step 1 - Learn more about the label
The Towards Sustainability label is a quality standard for financial products. The label gives you the guarantee that your product meets a credible and qualitative level of sustainability. You can find out exactly how the label and the quality standard work throughout the website or in the frequently asked questions.
Step 2 - Define your sustainability preferences
All products with the Towards Sustainability label meet the Quality Standard. It is therefore a guarantee that a credible and qualitative level of sustainability is achieved. But beyond that, you may have personal preferences. Perhaps there are certain topics that matter to you? The label allows you to set your own priorities. You probably know what you care about, but you may not know how financial products can connect to that — how to translate what matters to you into concrete saving and investing choices. We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to learn more about how sustainable saving and investing works exactly, and how you can shape it in a way that meets your values and expectations. To this end, we are partnering with Duurzaam Beleggen Academy. You can follow the online course 'sustainable saving and investing' free of charge (in Dutch only).
Step 3 - Find products that meet your expectations
There are currently more than 470 products bearing the label. With the search tool, you can easily search through a wide range of different investment and saving products. With the general filters, you can select e.g. the type of product, the geographical area, the sector you have in mind; with the sustainability filters, you can search for products that align with your sustainability preferences. You can also export the results.
Step 4 - Talk to your banker or advisor
The Towards Sustainability label is not only a guarantee that a product meets the Quality Standard — it is also a great opportunity to start a conversation about sustainable investing. Did you know, by the way, that a banker is legally required to ask whether you want to invest sustainably?Make an appointment with your advisor and ask questions such as:
- Does my investment fund have the Towards Sustainability label?
- What other products do you offer with the label?
- Are there specific areas where my fund or product goes beyond the Towards Sustainability Quality Standard?
